Rental Policy

Private parties are paid for at a flat rate that includes materials and access to the bus for up to 10 attendees ages 5+ For kids' parties: parents/guardians are encouraged to let the party guests enjoy their time on the bus independetly though you're welcome to drop in any time during the session to check in. Exceptions will be made for children requiring accessibility/medical assistance to participate. The Department of Curious Things is not responsible for injury occurring on or in the vicinity of the bus. Guests may leave the bus at any time for any reason, though they must check-in with the host so we know where everyone is at all times. Once guests leave the bus, The Department not longer assumes responsibility for them. Party organizers are responsible for communicating this policy to all party guests' parents/guardians. Cancellations must be made 48 hrs in advance to receive a full refund. Cancellations made 24-48 hrs in advance will receive a 50% refund and cancellations made less than 24 hrs before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
